Do you prefer the mountains or the beach? Either is only 3 hours away from our beautiful hospital and the most amazing veterinary family looking for its newest associate veterinarian. That would be Eno Animal Hospital in Durham, NC.
We are looking for our next awesome individual to join our 3 doctor private practice family. We are small animal only. There are no on-call or emergency hours. The ratio of vet assistants to doctors is 2- 2.5/1. We are a Fear Free certified hospital that believes in providing quality care with compassion in an inclusive, empowering environment.

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week (part-time applicants will also be considered)
Schedule:
10 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday, with one consistent day off
No nights
One 5 hour Saturday per month
Requirements
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose health issues.
Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
Perform surgical procedures with precision and care.
Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health management.
Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Stay updated on the latest veterinary practices and advancements.
We are happy to support a veterinarian that also sees exotics or wants to provide acupuncture.
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
Current North Carolina DVM license
Required skills and qualifications: basic competency in surgery, including spays, neuters, and small mass removals; basic competency in dentistry preferred; strong communication skills, passion to present the best medicine; the ability to work efficiently and effectively; the ability to treat pets per Fear Free protocols; and a positive, willing attitude to learn, grow, and contribute to our success.
