Our practice supports a wide range of equine athletes and companions, delivering care in areas including preventative medicine, dentistry, sports medicine, internal medicine, lameness, chiropractic, acupuncture, and elective field surgery.

Our veterinarians work alongside dedicated veterinary assistants, and our office and client services team handles scheduling, billing, and client communications, allowing clinicians to focus on high-quality medicine. We emphasize collaboration, continuing education, and progressive care, while maintaining a strong commitment to client relationships and patient advocacy.

Company History

Tacoma Equine Hospital has been a trusted part of the Pierce County horse community since the 1970s . Over decades, the practice has grown from a traditional ambulatory service into a modern, progressive equine practice offering advanced diagnostics and specialty services while maintaining its strong community roots.

In 2000, the practice was purchased and led by Dr. Linda Hagerman, who guided Tacoma Equine Hospital through a period of expansion, modernization, and team growth while reinforcing its commitment to high-quality, compassionate equine care. Under her leadership, the hospital strengthened its reputation for combining excellent preventative care with advanced performance and specialty medicine.

Today, Tacoma Equine Hospital continues to build on that legacy with a new generation of leadership, veterinarians, and support staff, maintaining its long-standing mission while expanding services, investing in technology, and supporting career development for its team.
