Urban Pet_Rx is adding an associate veterinarian to our team!  We are seeking a Part-time or Full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our dynamic and growing small animal practice located in the cozy neighborhood of Bridgeport, Chicago.  The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, positive, drama-free individual with a strong work ethic who enjoys working as a collaborative team member.   It is also important to have great communication skills and enjoy supporting clients in the healthcare of their pets while demonstrating compassion towards both pet and pet owner.

What we are looking for:

• Part-time or Full-time Associate Veterinarian
• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) with a license in good standing in the state of Illinois with a commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
• A passionate and compassionate general practice veterinarian who loves practicing veterinary medicine. In our case, this includes seeing cases, caring for hospitalized patients and if preferred, surgical/dental procedures.
• A dedicated veterinarian who takes pride in their work, values collaboration and possesses problem-solving skills.
• A strong communicator with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language.
• An ethical person who possesses emotional intelligence.
• A kind human who is loyal and plays well with pets and people; who has a sense of humor to help lighten the mood of a stressful day.
• A veterinarian that thrives in fast-paced work environment.
• A veterinarian who loves learning and wants to join a practice where continuing education and learning is embedded in the clinic culture.

Love them?  We’ll support that too!).

Our Facility: Our hospital is equipped with the most cutting-edge technology including cloud-based practice management software, ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, oxygen generator, iCare Tonovet Plus, Vet-Tome atraumatic tooth extraction system, in-house IDEXX laboratory equipment and IDEXX reference lab. We are a modern practice with the latest technology for communicating with clients and staff members including being a paperless practice.

• Excellent full-time starting salary based on experience.
• Full-time position is 3-4 days a week and can be week-end free!
• Full-time position starts at 120 hours of paid vacation time.
• 40 hours sick time
• Holiday Pay – we are closed major holidays.

• Very limited or no weekend shifts if preferred
