The Veterinary Medical Center of Central NY is looking for an Internist who enjoys working collaboratively with the other clinicians as well as referring veterinarians, and who seeks to positively contribute to the growth of and culture of our team.  The VMC is currently an established and growing VECCS level 1 hospital encompassing 18,000 sq ft (with plans for a new hospital build in 2023) that offers 24 hour emergency in addition to Surgery, Oncology, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Cardiology, Nutrition and Critical Care. In addition, within the VMC exists CARE, a complementary rehabilitation and pain management center.  We pride ourselves to understanding the needs of the Internist within a larger hospital, and we are eager to hear what we can do to help you thrive alongside our team.

We offer state-of-the-art equipment (16 slice CT, ultrasound, advanced multi-parameter monitors, new scopes, upgraded anesthesia equipment), and are eager to hear what more we can do to help make your position fulfilling and rewarding. Attached to the VMC is an IDEXX reference laboratory, which enables accurate test results with a fast turnaround time for hospitalized patients. The Internist will be responsible for providing consultations on an appointment basis, scope procedures, bone marrow aspirates and, although not required, opportunity to perform abdominal ultrasounds.  

We would entertain a 1 year locum while we continue our search for a full-time clinician for the right individual.
