Job description
All Species 24 Hour Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary facility that is looking for two veterinarians to join our team and our continued growth within the veterinary industry. We are proud to serve the Atlanta market to provide a mixture of exceptional customer service and top-notch veterinary care. All Species 24 Hour Animal Hospital is looking to continue to grow by adding talented professionals to our team.

Ultimately, you’ll act as the point of contact for pet owners, whether it’s to treat illnesses and injuries or to advise on animal nutrition and general care. We are looking for a veterinarian to diagnose and treat our clients’ animals. Your day-to-day activities as a Vet Diagnosing and treating clients pets utilizing state of the art diagnostic equipments. Must be able to perform routine and complex surgeries on injured animals, treating wounds, spaying, and neutering animals and prescribing medicine.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Adopt and positively impact new veterinary standards and guidelines
- Practice in accordance to principles of veterinary medical ethics
- Leverage evidence-based medicine and continue pursuit of education to deliver quality patient care
- Adopt and positively impact new veterinary standards and guidelines
- Partner with clients as an advocate for the pet to plan follow-up visits, provide home-care instructions, and education to ensure the lifelong health of their pets
- Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records.
- Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment
- Perform dental, ophthalmic, and orthopedic surgeries
- Prescribe medication
- Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare, and general care.
- Perform basic and advanced routine and emergency care
- Diagnostics and treatment as well as emergency surgeries
- Handle emergency situations quickly with emphasis on details
- Multi-task well under pressure
- Be highly motivated to work as an individual as well as a team

- Advise animal owners about medical conditions, and treatments based on diagnostic results as required
- Receive walk-in emergency cases and transfers
- Manage hospitalized patients
- Communicate with referring veterinarians and clients
- Attend medical patient care rounds as dictated by shift
- End of life care
- Diagnose and treat animals for medical conditions.
- Operate medical and diagnostic equipment
Requirements Certificates/Licenses:
- State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, prior to their start date.
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine; two or more year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Experience conducting various types of surgeries, vaccinations, and health checks on animals
- Knowledge of medical equipment (e.g., X-ray machines) and anesthesia procedures
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language
- Availability and Flexibility to take evening or weekend shifts in cases of emergency
