The Idaho State Department of Agriculture was established in 1919 to serve and regulate this cornerstone industry. We oversee more than 60 sections of Idaho Code, and the agency is structured to efficiently implement our statutory duties. The ISDA is divided into the Director’s Office, six divisions and one bureau. ISDA's Mission: Serving consumers and agriculture by safeguarding the public, plants, animals, and the environment through promotion, education and regulation. ISDA's Goals: Provide superior service to Idaho by fulfilling our core statutory responsibilities, foster confidence in Idaho’s agriculture industry and market transactions, and continue to support the growth and sustainability of Idaho’s agriculture industry.
