Laurelwood Animal Hospital, in Beaverton, Oregon is an AAHA accredited, small animal practice focused on delivering high quality medical services while promoting a culture of compassion and authenticity. We cultivate an attractive working environment and culture of improvement, continuing education, respect, and support for every team member. We invest in training and development of our staff to ensure exceptional patient care and client communication.  Our doctors have been practicing together for years; the practice foundation reflects the highest standard of medical care through client education and comprehensive diagnostics.  As a staff our focus is on clients and patients ahead of anything else; taking the extra time to build rapport with clients and educate them on their pets' health is the standard.  Our clientele is loyal to us and, in many cases, we see family members through multiple generations.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, and fun DVM to join our outstanding team.

Our facility was designed by veterinarians and our 2-story building has been retrofitted specifically to be a veterinary hospital with ample treatment and surgical space, outfitted for progressive medicine.  We are located just outside Portland, Oregon in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.  The area offers multiple activities for outdoor enthusiasts including hiking, camping, fishing, boating, and skiing.  Wind down with an abundance of boutique shopping, artisan markets, craft breweries and vineyards , and farm-to-table dining.  The region is filled with historical monuments and cultural attractions allowing as many day-trip adventures as you can imagine!  The breathtaking Oregon coastline is less than two hours’ drive, Mt. Hood is approximately an hour away, Seattle and Mount St. Helens are within 3 hours, while downtown Portland is only a few minutes from the hospital.  No matter what you enjoy you can find it here!

Schedule: Full-time, 4 days per week.

Qualifications

• DVM license in Oregon, in good standing or ability to obtain same 
• Exceptional client communication
• Passion for learning and improvement with a proactive approach
• Take pride in offering unmatched quality of medicine
• Support all other medical personnel, including veterinary technicians and assistants, and help guide as a mentor to develop the clinical staff
• Confidence and proficiency in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine
