A long-established but progressive clinic is seeking to hire an additional full or part-time veterinarian. Located in Topeka, KS (just an hour from Kansas City), our goal is to provide quality, individualized patient care that draws in high-end clientele. Patient load is primarily small animal, but a fair number of exotic pets are also treated. The practice enjoys the use of in-house CBC and chemistry equipment, ultrasound, DR digital radiography, CR dental digital radiography, CO2 surgical laser, rigid endoscopy, cold laser therapy, Cryopen, Tonovet, Stance Analyzer, and Surgivet surgical monitoring equipment. Within the year, this practice will also be breaking ground on a state-of-the-art facility to incorporate expanded canine rehabilitation work, including a water treadmill. Additionally, clients seek out this practice for its implementation of complementary and alternative therapies including acupuncture, chiropractic, and stem cell therapy. The work atmosphere is relaxed but professional, with several of the staff members being a part of the team for over a decade. We try to emphasize a work-life balance and are supportive of family needs as much as possible. An associate veterinarian would be expected to work a 36 to 40-hour workweek. Limited on-call schedule and Saturdays rotate between all full-time veterinarians. Full-time veterinarians are granted 80 hours of vacation/PTO as well as professional service discounts following a 90-day probationary period. Professional licensing and organization dues are paid along with allowances for continuing education. Salary is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
