Nuzzles & Co Pet Rescue and Adoption is seeking a Full Time Veterinarian with experience in shelter medicine. We are a progressive, no-kill, high volume animal rescue near Park City, Utah. We do around 1450 adoptions per year, and that number increases year by year. Our live release rate is currently 97%. We specialize in rescuing animals from the Navajo and Ute Native American Reservations, including dogs and cats with medical/surgical needs that other rescues are unable to treat. We also have a no-kill commitment to several municipal shelters in Utah.
Be a high-energy leader who will create an environment of teamwork, while advancing the mission of Nuzzles & Co. and its commitment to outstanding medical services
Perform spay/neuter (80%) and other life saving surgeries (20%) i.e. amputations, enucleations, intestinal surgeries, mass removals, dentals.
Perform low cost spay/neuter and dentals for community-owned animals
Manage complex and/or chronic medical cases
Design and implement protocols for managing infectious diseases
Manage/oversee staff of 5-7 paid and volunteer employees
Function as a solo practitioner in a busy and fast-paced environment
Show commitment to a high live release rate and the No-Kill Movement
Be flexible for on-call weekends and holidays for medical emergencies
