VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center and Pet Inn in Sacramento, California is seeking a highly experienced Veterinarian to lead our AAHA-accredited, 8-doctor practice as Medical Director.

This is an opportunity to establish the direction and medical quality of the hospital like an owner would, but without the financial risks of ownership. Our patient focused, technician driven practice allows and encourages our Veterinarians to focus on their skills and duties while being supported by the trained support staff. By focusing on veterinary duties and having the full support of a highly trained medical team, our doctors find our hospital to be efficient and highly productive.

Requirements:  

• Experience in emergency medicine preferred or desire to work in emergency a must!
• Preference for USDA accreditation
• Strong communication and excellent customer service skills
• Is interested in following veterinary trends such as Feline Friendly and Fear Free ideas
• The ability to multitask in a high pressure environment with exceptional accuracy
• Has a positive, professional and can-do-attitude that will help lead support staff by example
