Additionally, we have 5 rotating interns, residents in surgery and critical care, and participate with The Ohio State University in clinical trials.
Pittsburgh was ranked the most-livable city in the U.S.
It is a small city of ethnic neighborhoods, scenic hills, trees, rivers and farmland, yet offers world-class fine arts, museums, and educational institutions, three professional sports teams, a zoo, aquarium, and the National Aviary, excellent schools and health care, and a wide variety of outdoor and family activities. Despite Pittsburgh’s big city offerings, people are friendly, crime is low, rural settings are within commuting distance, and cost of living is well below average.
Ideal candidates are internship-trained, talented and enthusiastic, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a sense of humor, and a desire to become part of a dynamic team. Ultrasound proficiency and experience in a private practice setting are advantageous, but not required. Emergency Veterinarians at PVSEC enjoy a 3-day work week. PVSEC offers competitive, commission-based compensation with a guaranteed base salary, medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance, a 401K retirement plan, a continuing education allowance. Emphasis is placed on superior patient and client care, development of a rewarding career, a pleasant and productive work environment, and a sustainable, balanced lifestyle.
