Part time position available. We would like to recruit a veterinarian to work 1-3 days per week. We are open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with no weekend or after-hours commitment. Candidate can elect to perform surgeries or not, but ability to work through appointments efficiently is a must. Negotiable pay and benefits will be based on experience and agreed upon schedule.
This position is perfect for someone transitioning into retirement or who needs more life in their work-life balance. We practice in a beautiful town near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in western NC near many hiking attractions, whitewater rafting/kayaking locations, rivers and lakes for fishing opportunities and much more.
We are a small animal only hospital providing general medicine and surgery to a rural population. We have digital radiographs, ultrasound, in-house laboratory suite, therapeutic laser, cloud-based medical records and cloud-based digital imaging storage. We have a boarding kennel on site and employ registered technicians and have a full-time office manager.
If interested but in need of full-time position, we are aware of a co-op opportunity with a local wellness hospital that could fulfill this need. Please contact us for any questions!
Applicant must have and maintain appropriate NC state license. It is ideal and we would like for the applicant to have a DEA license and maintain USDA accreditation. Compensation for these licenses may be negotiated in benefit package.
Applicant must be a team player, be excellent at client communication, and have compassion for pets from all socioeconomic homes. The hours are wonderful for this position but we expect full commitment, hard work ethic, and earnest attempts at promotion of our hospital and policies.
