Two neighboring and cooperating veterinary clinics in south central Illinois are seeking an associate veterinarian to share duties between the two clinics. We are seeking an individual interested in practice ownership in the near future.
Both practices are well-established, well-equipped small animal practices located approximately 20 miles apart. Current facility equipment and practice interests of the two locations complement one another and allow for a wide range of diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
These practices are located in south central Illinois in Macoupin and Montgomery counties. We are approximately midway between Springfield, IL and St. Louis, MO. The local terrain is a mixture of flat farm ground and gently rolling hills providing ample opportunity for outdoor activity.
Each clinic has a stable and experienced technician/assistant staff providing excellent support to the veterinary staff. Each clinic has in-house laboratory equipment with daily pick up for outside laboratory assistance, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, up to date dental equipment and therapeutic laser capabilities. One clinic offers CO2 surgical laser and a video otoscope, while the other offers ultrasound. This provides one with exceptional diagnostic resources for the rigors of current veterinary practice. Both clinics also have good referral relationships with specialty services within a reasonable driving distance.
Practice hours and appointment schedules are similar between the two practices. Daily case work is typical of small animal general practice with a mixture of wellness exams, injured animals and health related problems and surgical procedures. There is an overnight emergency clinic located to the north and a 24/day clinic to the south that are easily accessible.
Compensation will be based on level of experience and performance. Benefits, vacation time, continuing education time, association dues and insurance will be provided and are negotiable.
This is a unique opportunity for anyone with aspirations for practice ownership. This position will provide a chance to practice high quality medicine and gain a wide variety of clinical experience. For more information you may contact either:
